My review of "Fugu"

Fugu is a short created by Arthur Philippe in 2012 during his third year in Supinfocom Arles.

Arthur was told to create a short about cuisine and that's what he did, but from a very special view.

The action takes place in Japan and the main character is Fugu, a fish that's just about to be cooked and wants to escape from his destiny: end up being eaten.

I really liked this story because I think the animation is really good and even though it's short it must have taken the author a lot of time and effort to do it, so I think his work is admirable.
I found this short very funny and interesting because it shows a normal situation, like cooking, from the perspective of the fish and I really wasn't expecting the end!

My own scary story: the evil of the thriller

It was close to midnight and Jace couldn't sleep. It had been happening for the last two nights and he didn't seem to find a way to be able to sleep peacefully.
He was trying to find a comfortable position when, suddenly, he heard a door slam. He brushed it away, though, thinking it was just his parents going to their bedroom. He soon realized he was wrong, because he started to hear steps approaching his room. "It's just my parents" he thought "It can't be anything else". But he was wrong again.
Under the moonlight, he saw how his door opened to reveal a sight that almost stopped his heart: a grisly ghoul covered in blood and showing off its teeth, prepared to attack. Jace tried to scream, but it felt like he had lost his voice.
The ghoul started to crawl towards his bed, but Jace was paralyzed. He tried to move, but he couldn't. When the beast was about to strike, it felt like something inside of Jace clicked and he started to run. The creature was chasing after him at a really fast pace and the only thing Jace could do was hope for the best. He tried to open the front door but he couldn't: it was locked. He screamed and cried for help but it felt like no one heard him. He felt the ghoul hot on his heels and reaching for him, so he started to run even faster.
But running came to an end, because the ghoul trapped him in the corridor with no place to go into, and he couldn't escape.
Jace closed his eyes and hoped this was just his imagination, or maybe a bad dream, but it really wasn't.
Darkness fell across the land, midnight was close, creatures were crawling in search of blood and no mortal can resist the evil of the thriller.

My favourite photo

This photo was taken by my brother in summer 2012. It shows the skyline of Manhattan, in New York City.

He took the photo while we were in the Rockefeller Center, one of the tallest buildings in Manhattan. It was about 8 pm and we decided to go there to take night time photos of the city.

Before getting there, we spent the day just walking around New York around the Rockefeller Plaza area, because it was our last day in the city. I'm really glad we got to take this photo before we came back to Spain!

In the picture you can see a huge part of the skyline of Manhattan, it's such a huge island so it didn't fit completely on the photo but you still can appreciate the tallness of the buildings and the amazing amount of lighting.
If you look closely to the left, you can see the Brooklyn Bridge and on the right you can see a bit of Central Park (which is, also, huge, so it didn't fit on the photo).

I chose this photo because I really love it. I like night time photos and this one is just incredible, the lightning of the buildings it's astonishing and it always reminds me of the movies. It also reminds me of a lot of great memories I have of this trip and it makes me want to return to New York again.
